What Easier Ways provides
Easier Ways publishes general UK information about home adaptations, mobility equipment and accessible transport. We aim to explain choices and useful questions in ordinary language. We do not manufacture, supply, prescribe, fit or repair the products described, and the website is not a medical, occupational-therapy, structural, legal or financial service.
A page cannot take account of a person's health, ability, home layout, support, budget or changing needs. Do not use an article as a substitute for an individual assessment where safety, transfers, specialist seating, lifting equipment, building work or driving controls are involved.
Safety and urgent help
Use a suitably qualified professional to assess, specify and install equipment or adaptations. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and do not alter safety-critical equipment unless the work is being carried out by somebody competent to do it. Check that advice fits the person who will actually use the equipment and the complete route around the home or vehicle.
Easier Ways is not an emergency service. If somebody is in immediate danger, has fallen and cannot get up, has sudden or serious symptoms, or cannot safely reach essential facilities, contact the appropriate emergency, NHS, council or care service. Do not wait for an email reply from us.
Information, prices and availability can change
We take reasonable care when preparing the site, but products are altered, schemes close, eligibility rules change and external pages move. Images may show a general type of equipment rather than the exact model discussed. Always check measurements, specifications, prices, guarantees, grant rules, planning requirements and current public-service information with the relevant organisation before committing yourself.
