Why we created Easier Ways
Choosing mobility equipment or changing part of a home is not always as simple as it first appears. A scooter may be too wide for the gate. A shower may leave no room for a helper. A stairlift may fit the stairs but make it difficult to open the front door. Easier Ways looks at these ordinary details before they become expensive problems.
What we can help with
Our guides explain the choices in friendly, straightforward language. We do not make, sell or fit the equipment described on the site. If you contact us, we can help you think through the questions to ask and the kind of assessment or specialist that may be useful. If you would like an introduction to an independent provider, we will explain that before sharing any contact details.
Why an assessment still matters
No article can see how somebody moves, measure a narrow landing or know which support they need on a difficult day. Larger adaptations, specialist seating, transfers and driving controls often need a proper individual assessment. Specifications, grants and public services change too, so we include links to official information that you can check directly.
The details we think are worth discussing
We look beyond the headline product. Can the person reach it? Is there room to turn? Where will it be stored and charged? What happens during a power cut or breakdown? Will somebody else in the home lose the handrail or doorway they rely on? These questions are not glamorous, but they often decide whether an adaptation is genuinely helpful.
Who maintains the site
Easier Ways is maintained by Prudent Plus Limited. We want the site to be accurate, useful and pleasant to read. If you find something unclear or believe a page needs correcting, please let us know. We would much rather hear about it than leave a visitor struggling with confusing information.
